Cat Badger

Cat is an artist currently living and working in Northeast Pennsylvania. After graduating from Moore College of Art and Design and residencies abroad, she spent some time working for the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program and assisted in the completion of murals under the guidance of muralists Paul Santoleri, Frank Hyder, and David McShane. Since then, she has worked as a freelance studio artist, mural artist, and as a scenic artist in the museum and film industries and in the private sector. She currently owns and runs CB Scenic Studios, a scenic painting company serving homeowners and businesses.

 

Her work tends to be figure-based or abstract and explores a multitude of themes: self-contained worlds of the organic/mechanical, spiritual musings, social issues and simple observations. Working in oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media and prints, her work is full of color, texture and playfulness but can often suggest a more contemplative response.
